I think every girl should have a little bit of Charlotte Tilbury in their life, the packaging, the smell and the feel of the products is just so luxurious and would make any girl feel special! For me, Christmas is a time to treat your loved ones to those special presents that they wouldn't justify treating themselves to, so when I saw this mini lipstick trio from Charlotte Tilbury, I knew they would be the perfect gift to make someone smile this Christmas. With three different shades from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick range in So Marilyn, Bitch Perfect and Penelope Pink these were too hard to resist and I decided to order Dan's mum a set as she was swooning over my first CT order and Dan very kindly decided to treat me to a set too, so as soon as I saw them up on the website, I added two to my basket and proceeded straight to the check out before I changed my mind.

As usual the box got me so excited, with the burgundy tissue paper and the gold sticker, it took me around 30 seconds to find the products lurking inside but what did really surprise me, was when I got to the actual product. Now I know that these are mini lipsticks and by no means did I expect them to be big, however I didn't realise just how small these would be. I guess I at least expected them to be the size of my thumb, however they are just under 4cm in height and just over 1cm wide with the amount of product being a little under 2cm tall and a little under 1cm wide, so they are very tiny. Luckily they are gorgeous lipsticks but I wish I had actually read the description first and done my research before I made a decision, as I don't feel they look a lot for the money when buying them as a Christmas present for someone who doesn't know the brand and quality of the products upfront.

Despite me thinking these should be described as tiny and not mini, I do love the lipsticks and think that they are an amazing idea, if only a little bigger, the K.I.S.S.I,N.G lipstick formula is pretty amazing, see my review here and I can't wait till Christmas when I can pop them in my handbags ready for the celebrations, I just hope I don't lose them!

Review | Vichy DermaBlend Setting Powder...

Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder 28g RRP:£17 now only £14.45 Escentual

The Vichy Dermablend range is a popular range among beauty bloggers, makeup artists and even dermatologists, with the range being well known for helping to cover scars, imperfections and even tattoos. Although this setting powder has been 'specifically formulated for use with the Dermablend corrective foundation' I have found that the foundation doesn't work well for my skin and therefore I do not use them together. I was however, pleasantly surprised to find that the setting powder does in fact work wonders for my skin and with any of the foundations I use on a daily basis.

With a universal shade, this translucent setting powder adds no colour to your skin, meaning that this doesn't affect the colour of your foundation, like so many other setting powders do and leaves a natural looking finish that is perfect for all skin tones! This powder evens out your complexion and balances any oils on the face. leaving you with a flawless matte finish that is super smooth and doesn't crease or settle into fine lines. The thing I love most about this setting powder is that it's so finely milled, that it feels lightweight on the skin, is invisible upon application and doesn't cake, even if you touch it up throughout the day! 

The staying power is said to last 'up to sixteen hours' but personally I never wear my makeup for this long, however I do find that once set, the powder stays in place from the second I put it on until the moment I take it off, which to me is pretty amazing! 

This can be applied with the powder puff provided, however I prefer to use a powder brush for an all over application, I simply tap the powder into the lid, dab the brush into the powder and tap off any excess before sweeping over my whole face, don't worry though, a little goes a long way with this one!

And for those of you that are a little more wary of what's in your products, this setting powder is fragrance free, paraben free, non-comodogenic, non-acnegenic, contains an SPF30 and is suitable for sensitive skin, what's not to love?!

I don't know about you, but I find it so hard to buy for men, I get tired of buying them the same things and let's face it, they will never get excited over anything, like a girl gets excited over a lipstick! After sharing my picks from the Debenhams Christmas section 'for her' last week, I thought I would also pick out a few of the things in the 'for him' section, to help those of you, who like me, have no idea what to buy for the men in your life...

My fella lives in his loungewear bottoms, so I usually buy him a new pair for every occasion.  I love checked pj's on a man and these ones by red herring are perfect, if your looking for a more Christmas themed pair however, the navy polar bear ones by Mantaray are cute yet stylish.

Every man wants his own 'man room' and no man room would be complete without a stag head, this build your own stag head would be perfect for him to build his own. Keeping with the man room' theme, what man doesn't like a good drinking game? I know the majority of the men in my family do, so drinking games are always a hit with them! Darts with a difference, this darts game has a drink related commandment for each section hit, perfecly suited to any 'man's room'. An increasingly popular game amongst men recently, beer pong is the ultimate drinking game, if the man in your life hasn't played it yet, why not introduce him to it?

October Favourites...

Last month flew by so quickly that somehow I forgot to do a monthly favourites post! I'm not quite sure how, as it has to be one of my favourite posts to write! Looking back on each month and sharing my latest finds and old favourites is always so much fun and this month I had so many items that I could have included in this post! Luckily I managed to cut it down to my top five before this post had the chance to become endless!

Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder: The Vichy Dermablend range is such a popular range, with so many good reviews and this Setting Powder is one I had already heard plenty about. When I finally got the chance to try it out for myself, I was pleasantly surprised to find out just how good this wonder product is! A translucent powder, just how I like it, that leaves a smudge proof base with a flawless finish thst lasts all day, now this is my kind of powder!

Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm: Which beauty blogger doesn't own the oh so famous Nuxe Reve de Miel? This leaves lips feeling so soft and smooth whilst leaving them with a hint of its divine chocolate orange scent. It makes the perfect overnight treatment for dull, dry and cracked lips and is great for keeping them hydrated throughout the day.

My Little Beauty Micellar Water: I've tried my fair share of micellar waters but this one comes out on top for me! It removes makeup quickly and efficiently whilst leaving skin soft and smooth to touch, not to mention how retro it looks on your shelf.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer: Slightly on the pricier side of primers, this one from Laura Mercier really seems to love my skin. It somehow manages to balance out my combination skin, reducing pores and blending out my imperfections whilst allowing the majority of foundations to stay put on my face all day long. Now that's a wonder product!

Illamasqua Brow Gel in Strike: A very similar product to the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade, with a more cream to powder finish is this Illamasqua Brow Gel in Strike. I love that this one allows you to achieve both a subtle day time look when used straight from the pot but also allows you to create a more striking look when used wet for evenings. I find this such a versatile product and would say that it is definitely worth the pennies!
